I wanted to do a more manly cupcake to include in my Valentine's day variety boxes and of course I went straight to the maple bacon cupcake. To make it different though I created an old fashioned doughnut cupcake and topped it with maple buttercream. As I was perusing Pinterest I had seen bacon rose bunches and thought they would make the perfect topper for these cupcakes.
