About Me

My photo
Kemptville, Ontario, Canada
Cake has been a part of my life for as far back as I can remember. My Mom was a cake decorator when I was younger and I discovered a few years ago that I had inerited her talent for it as well. I have not been satisfied with my jobs for a while now so I thought why not do something I love. Helping people celebrate the big moments of their lives. I can do cakes for all occasions. Let me be a part of your next celebration. Official website is secondgenerationcakedesign.com

Hamburger Cake

I made this cake for Father's Day with my family. We were having a BBQ so I thought this would be an appropriate cake. The bun is strawbery cake as it is strawberry season and the hamburger patty is a large chocolate rice crispy. There isn't a whole lot of cake to this one but the rice crispy gives it an interesting texture.

Camera Cake

I made this cake for a client who's cousin was turning 50. She loves photography and gardening so I made her a camera with some roses. The whole thing is cake, even the picture frame. The film and the roses are made out of gum paste and hand painted.

Candy Cake

I made this cake for my churches sunday school picnic. I wasn't sure what to do for the kids, so I thought "what do kids like most?" CANDY. I took a bunch of their favorite candies and put them all over the cake. They loved it. What's not to

love really....cake and candy.

To Heal a Broken Heart

I made this cake for my aunt Nancy while she was recovering from open heart surgery. I figured they got enough lasanga's already so why not bring her something sweet. Her kids sure appreciated it.

Knotty Knitters

I did this ball of yarn for the Knotty Knitters' knitting clubs end of year BBQ.
