This was such a precious cake and went perfect with the spring vintage decor of this wedding. Top tier is covered in edible daisies which sits on top cake with hand piped lace.

Burlap & Ruffles Wedding Cake
This is one of my favorite cakes I have ever done! I was so excited when I was asked to create this beauty! It was the perfect cake for the rustic feel of the Lodge at Strathmere. I love the Willow Tree topper as well.

Rose Wedding Cake
I love the retro feel of this simple but beautiful wedding cake I did last spring. I kept the colors brighter as it was a spring wedding and not a fall one. I love making roses so this was a perfect cake for me.

Calla Lily Wedding Cake
I wasn't sure where this cake was going exactly until I started putting it together. I had each element planned but didn't know how it was all going to look in the end. Well I was thrilled when I saw the piece finished as I think it is one of the best cakes I have done. I was a little surprising to me how gorgeous it was. I don't usually like square wedding cakes but with the hexagon on the bottom and the ribbon giving movement to the cake and breaking up the squareness of it I love it. White and purple calla lilies add elegance to this dramatic wedding cake.

Christmas Wedding Cake
This beautiful cake was for a wedding the weekend before Christmas. It is based on a Cake Boss design but we changed it up with some gold, a red bow and my style of snowflakes.

Delft Blue Anniversary Cake
This was a very special cake for me to create. I have had this design in my head for a long time and was waiting for the perfect opportunity to create it. I decided what better than my Oma and Opa's 55th Anniversary party. The clogs are ceramic. I borrowed them from my Mom. I made the red tulips and hand painted the delft blue design on the cake. I wasn't my cleanest cake but I think it is one of my favorites! My Oma and Opa were very happy with it!

Rustic Winter Wedding Cake
I have had this design in my head for a long time and finally had some time to make it happen. This is a dummy cake that I created to be displayed at the local bridal shop. I love making roses and peonies are also one of my favorites flowers. I made the pine cones out of fondant as well. I was going to make the berries red but when I went in to my color drawer I saw the copper dust and thought that would be gorgeous...and I was right! The red would look nice too. This is the style of cake I would like if one day I ever get married.

Purple Calla Lily Wedding Cake
I designed this cake for a photo shoot I had done. I won the shoot with a local photographer Bretny Holmes. We had had family pics done recently so I had some business shots done this time. I actually had no idea where this cake was going the whole time I was doing it. I had the topper and purple calla lilies and then let the rest just come together on it's own. The piping on the bottom tier was inspired by the topper and I wrapped each white layer with a purple ribbon to tie in the purple calla lilies. I was very happy with how it turned out and how well the pics turned out as well.

Vintage Peacock Wedding Cake
This cake was inspired by this cake.
The gold was switched out for silver and I used a peacock feather stencil to create the feathers. I then hand painted the royal icing with teals and purples. It was quite a stunning cake.

Black & White Ivy Wedding Cake
I can't believe I had missed posting this one. I made this back in September. It is a very dramatic cake and not everyone can pull this off as their wedding cake but it turned out gorgeous. The various heights of the tiers add to the drama of this cake. It is wrapped with white ivy and topped with an ivy heart. She had a beautiful table set up to display my cake on. She came to me with a design from Toronto's top wedding cake designs but the original was in yellow.

Classic Ivory Wedding Cake
This was the cake I made for my Aunt's wedding in August. The cake is a version of the silver and white one I did for the local bridal shop last year. This time though I did it in ivory with pearl beads instead of the silver for a softer look. It was really beautiful! The cupcakes were Chocolate Espresso, Coconut Cream Pie and Caramel Whiskey. It was a country wedding and everything was very beautiful. Congratulations Carol and Chris!

Purple & Ivory Damask Wedding Cake
Jen came to me a little frustrated. She had not had very good experiences with bakers. No one seemed to want to design a wedding cake around her topper. I'm not sure when cake designers stopped designing cakes for their clients and only for themselves. It's her day so we designed this cake just for her. Her colors were purple and green and she was using a lot of rustic details in her table designs. We did a damask pattern on the bottom and top tiers in ivory and white and a quilted effect on the middle tier in purple. With peonies and hydrangea buds highlighting her fun topper. It is one of my favorite cakes I have done.

Mickey & Minnie Wedding Cake
This cake is a reproduction of the cake the couple had when they got married in Disney World in February. They asked me to recreate it for their reception up here in June. I got it pretty close to the original. Luckily they took pictures from various angles so I had lots to work with. It was a marble cake with strawberry mousse filling. There were guests that were at both events and said that mine was better. A little gloating there I know but it was such a great compliment.

Floral Garden Birthday Cake
A good friend and co-worker of my sisters ordered this cake for her mother's birthday a few months ago. It was a beautiful cake she requested and I loved bringing it all together but this was one very stressful cake as it was to travel 6 hours to it's recipient. She was very prepared though with coolers and cold packs to keep it from melting on the trip. It was also sent in pieces so she had to put the top tier on herself but it all went well and they were extremely happy with the cake. Good to know that they can travel but I don't ever want to have to do that again. I did't sleep very well until she got back and let me know how it went.

Spring Wedding Cake
I created this spring wedding cake to be displayed at a local bridal shop. The top tier is covered in small blossom flowers and the bottom tier I used a leaf cutter to create a feathery look. Accented by a soft yellow ribbon and pretty flower make this beautiful cake perfect for any spring or summer wedding. Yes it is a lot of work but so worth it in the end.

Black Lace and Red Roses Wedding Cake
I recently invested in some sugarveil mats. I have been wanting for so long to try out this gorgeous technique so when one of my favorite online stores flourconfections.com had mats on sale I indulged myself and bought one. I also wanted to practice roses so I made 2 dozen of them. I designed this cake around these techniques. I personally love how it turned out. Oh and all the websites tell you not to start with black when doing sugarveil for the first time but I really love a challenge. It was sticky but I have nothing to compare it with so I am assuming doing white next time will be really easy.

Simple Elegance Wedding Cake
While at the trade show last week I was approached by the owner of our local bridal shop and she offered to showcase some of my cakes in their front window. I couldn't believe it and was so excited that I designed and made this cake that weekend and delivered it first thing tuesday morning. It looks pretty good displayed there and I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity.
Purple Peony Wedding Cake
This is the other dummy cake I did for the trade show last week. I wanted a more simple elegant one to contrast the ruffle cake. I love making peonies so much that I topped this stenciled white cake with 3 soft green flowers.
Purple Ruffle Wedding Cake
I made this cake for a trade show I did. It is a dummy cake but I had so much fun doing this one. I had seen one similar online and loved it so much and wanted an opportunity to make it that I thought this was the perfect occasion.

Fall Wedding Cake
I made this cake for my parents vow renewal last weekend. I had this design in my head for a couple of months now and was so happy to see it come to life. The bottom tier is a basket (red velvet cake) and the 3tiered ivory wedding cake inside is topped with a pumpkin (all carrot cake). There is fall leaves cascading down to fill the basket. So many people didn't believe it was all cake! We had a great day celebrating with family and friends even though the rain pushed us inside. Congratulations Mom and Dad!
