- Cake has been a part of my life for as far back as I can remember. My Mom was a cake decorator when I was younger and I discovered a few years ago that I had inerited her talent for it as well. I have not been satisfied with my jobs for a while now so I thought why not do something I love. Helping people celebrate the big moments of their lives. I can do cakes for all occasions. Let me be a part of your next celebration. Official website is secondgenerationcakedesign.com

Receiving Blanket Cupcakes
I made these receiving blanket "cupcakes" for a friends baby shower. I usually do diaper cakes but since she is going to be using cloth diapers (and a cake made from cloth diapers would be way too expensive) I thought it would be a better idea to do something different. I have been wanting to do some of these for a while anyways and this was the perfect opportunity. They're pretty cute. She had a baby boy so I stuck with a neutral theme. I had some bumble bee receiving blankets and used them as a jumping off point for the colors. Congratulations Amber and Ryan.

Barnyard Diaper Cake
This is my 1st attempt at designing a barnyard diaper cake. It turned out really cute. The top of the silo is a stuffed baby cap and the wash cloth pond and rubber duckie was an after thought that turned the whole thing into more of a barnyard scene. I think it needs more detail which mean I need more supplies. So off to the stores I go YEAH!!!

Carriage Diaper Cake
I got an order for a carriage diaper cake but it was for a card baby shower so they wanted deeper sides so they could put the cards in the carriage. I actually like how this carriage turned out better than either of the ones I have done before. It is also easier to make. So I am making this style the one I am going to use from now on. It is still $55.00.

Noah's Ark/ Jungle Diaper Cake
This is the diaper cake I made for Jen's shower. I did a whole scene instead of just one "cake". Any part of this cake can be done seperately, the ark on it's own or the palm tree with monkey hanging in it. This was a fun one to do. I even liked the added touch of the pelican on top of the ark and the dolphin coming out of the water. It was the perfect centerpiece for the gift table until all the gifts came and covered it up. Oh well just shows how spoiled she got by all our friends and family.

New and Approved Carriage Diaper Cake
I wasn't really happy with the original carriage diaper cake I had made and I had some time this afternoon to play around so I decided to try and make a new one. This one turned out much better and it is cheaper as well. It includes 49 stage 1 diapers, 2 receiving blankets and 1 bib. This one is for a girl , but I can do gender neutral and boy ones as well. These new carriage diaper cakes sell for $55.00 which beats the original $70.00.

Butterfly Diaper Cake
Flower Diaper Cake
I was playing around today and as I was doing another "cake" I came up with this design. One of the petals is a different color because I didn't have enough of the same color on hand but it's okay because I think the flower would look just as good if all the petals were different colors. It includes 30 newborn diapers, 11 baby wash cloths and penaten cream. It sells for $35.00.

Lesley's Baby Shower Cake & Diaper Cake
I made these cakes for my cousin Lesley's baby shower. The theme was blue and green and farm animals. So I made a cow out of fondant to go atop a blue cowprint cake for the edible cake. I used blue, yellow and green receiving blankets and cloths to make the tractor diaper cake. I think it is all so cute. I love doing baby cakes.

Wagon Diaper Cake
I have a list of different diaper cakes I want to try and a wagon was one of them. So I did. I haven't seen any wagon ones online yet so I didn't have a picture to go by but I think I did a pretty good job figuring it out. This wagon costs $70.00. It includes 74 newborn diapers, 8 baby wash cloths, 3 receiving blankets, 1 stuffed animal and 1 bib.
4 Wheeler Diaper Cake
This is the 4 wheeler. This one is a favorite here because my family loves 4 wheeling. Not me so much but I still love this "cake". Looking more closely at the picture I realise it is missing something on the front so in future I am going to add pacifier clip to the front. These "cakes" cost $60.00 and includes 38 newborn diapers, 8 baby wash cloths, 1 receiving blanket, 1 stuffed animal, 1 bib, 1 bottle and 1 pacifier clip.
3 Wheeler Diaper Cake
Isn't the 3 wheeler so cute. I absolutely love these "cakes". Of course this one is for a girl but I can make them in any color you like and as for the motorcycle and the 4 wheeler I can put almost any character on the bike you would like. The 3 wheeler costs $55.00 and includes 30 newborn diapers, 8 baby wash cloths, 1 receiving blanket, 1 stuffed animal, 1 pacifier, and 1 pacifier clip.
