While on our annual family camping trip this year we celebrated my Aunt Sherry and my Oma's birthdays. I decided that just because we were camping didn't mean they should miss out on having a cake. I made a strawberry cake and all the decorations before we left. I also made american buttercream icing which woul dhave travelled better than most icings but it accidentally got left at home. Turned out to be a good thing because I improvised by picking up some cool whip and making a lime curd to mix in and iced the cake with it. It tasted really good and still looked pretty close to the design I had created. My 5 year old cousin Zach even helped me put the decorations on. I made the decorations green and pink to compliment the strawberry daiquiri flavor.
