Cake has been a part of my life for as far back as I can remember. My Mom was a cake decorator when I was younger and I discovered a few years ago that I had inerited her talent for it as well. I have not been satisfied with my jobs for a while now so I thought why not do something I love. Helping people celebrate the big moments of their lives. I can do cakes for all occasions. Pirate Birthday Cake

Jack wanted a pirate themed cake for his birthday so I designed this just for him. The border is blue buttercream piped to look like waves. The side is a continuous map of x's around the whole cake and topped of with the jolly roger. As you can see there are two versions and this is because as I was about to put it in the box to deliver it almost fell on the floor. I did save it but there was a bit of damage where my fingers made dents from grabbing it. Luckily 1. it didn't fall to the floor and 2. I had purchased some chocolate coins to go on the cake but couldn't figure out how to quite use them. Well they became covers for the spots that I just could't repair. That is really what a lot of cake decorating is anyways...the cover up. It was still a fun and cute cake for Jack's 4th birthday!
