I made these cakes for my cousin Lesley's baby shower. The theme was blue and green and farm animals. So I made a cow out of fondant to go atop a blue cowprint cake for the edible cake. I used blue, yellow and green receiving blankets and cloths to make the tractor diaper cake. I think it is all so cute. I love doing baby cakes.

Halloween Cake
I was asked to do a halloween cake by a client who wanted something gross and gruesome for their annual halloween party. This is what I came up with. It was a little hard to get in the frame of mind to do gross when I had just finished a cake for a baby shower that morning. It was the first time I had the opportunity to do a halloween cake so I am impressed with how it turned out. It's even a red velvet cake so when they cut into it it looks like blood. I personally don't know how anyone can eat something that looks so gruesome, but there are lots who can and will.

Wagon Diaper Cake
I have a list of different diaper cakes I want to try and a wagon was one of them. So I did. I haven't seen any wagon ones online yet so I didn't have a picture to go by but I think I did a pretty good job figuring it out. This wagon costs $70.00. It includes 74 newborn diapers, 8 baby wash cloths, 3 receiving blankets, 1 stuffed animal and 1 bib.
4 Wheeler Diaper Cake
This is the 4 wheeler. This one is a favorite here because my family loves 4 wheeling. Not me so much but I still love this "cake". Looking more closely at the picture I realise it is missing something on the front so in future I am going to add pacifier clip to the front. These "cakes" cost $60.00 and includes 38 newborn diapers, 8 baby wash cloths, 1 receiving blanket, 1 stuffed animal, 1 bib, 1 bottle and 1 pacifier clip.
3 Wheeler Diaper Cake
Isn't the 3 wheeler so cute. I absolutely love these "cakes". Of course this one is for a girl but I can make them in any color you like and as for the motorcycle and the 4 wheeler I can put almost any character on the bike you would like. The 3 wheeler costs $55.00 and includes 30 newborn diapers, 8 baby wash cloths, 1 receiving blanket, 1 stuffed animal, 1 pacifier, and 1 pacifier clip.

Motorcycle Diaper Cake
I've seen these before and wanted to be able to offer them so I went ahead and made one. They are just so cute. These motorcycles can be customized to the colors and themes of your baby shower. I can also stick almost any character on the bikes as well. These "cake" sculptures are $45.00 each and include 22 newborn diapers, 1 receiving blanket, 1 pacifier, 1 pacifier clip, 1 stuffed animal, and 1 hatt, mitt, slipper set.

Just a Note about Non-Edible Cakes
I wanted to tell you all that I can't guarentee that I will be able to reproduce any non-edible cake exactly as seen. Some items aren't always available at all the stores I shop at all the time. The same goes for the crocheted items as yarn goes in and out of stock all the time. I can always though customize a cake to your exact style and colors. I just need a theme and a budget and I can make some pretty amazing "cakes". You just tell me what you want and I'll make it. That part goes for the edible cakes as well. I look forward to all the great cakes you will inspire me to make. Thanks!

This "cake" includes 53 diapers (pampers stage 3), 2 receiving blankets, 1 teddy bear, 1 wide neck bottle, 1 pacifier and 1 crocheted granny square blanket. This cake is for sale for $70.00. It was a hit. Everyone thought it was cute and I have to agree. I was very happy with how it turned out. These make beautiful centerpieces for any baby shower.

I'm back from the Trade Show. I sold a diaper cake, made some great contacts with some really great women, and I have a few possible cake orders on the way. I would say it was a successful day. YEAH! Thank you everyone for your support. I gave out a lot of cards too, so maybe there will be some fantastic cakes to come.

New Look
Same blog just a new design. I was designing another blog that I am starting and I came across this design. I just loved it and thought it would work for this blog better. Orange is my favorite color so I just had to change things up. I like the new look, it's a little more bright than the original. I hope you all enjoy the new look. Thanks for viewing my creations.

Farmer's Market
Well I finally received a call this afternoon saying I was accepted by the panel of judges to be a vendor at the Metcalfe Farmer's Market. I am so excited. A little nervous too. This is the first time I am taking my product directly to the public. I have a lot to do before tomorrow morning to get prepared. Not much notice, but I'll manage. I'll do a new post tomorrow to let you all know how it turned out. Hopefully some of you can come and see me. I will be premiering a few new "cakes".

Crocheted Tractor Blanket and Toy
I designed and made this blanket and toy for a John Deere diaper cake. I finished the blanket last night and now I can't wait to go shopping for baby John Deere stuff. I think this is going to be one really cute diaper cake. Coming from a family and community of farmers I think this is a "cake" I just had to make.

Black & White Sweet 16
I made this cake for my cousin Alexya's sweet 16 birthday party tonight. Her friends planned a black and white party including a dj and everything. This cakes design changed about three times before I got this. I was reminded why I hate using marshmallow fondant. Yes it's cheaper but it's too squishy and doesn't sit on the cake as nicely as the regular fondant I usually use. But the cake was saved and she got a beautiful cake for a beautiful girl. I had to throw the one coloured flower in there because Alexya is herself color.
Dale's 30th Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my brother-in-laws 30th birthday party last night. He has a really old studebaker sitting in the barn so I thought I model one so that he could see what his will look like once he gets time to work on it. Right now mine looks much better than his. I thought this cake suited the car guy he is. Of course he got to pick the flavor even though the party was supposed to be a surprise. He picked chocolate and peanut butter, my favorite too. I made the top layer without the peanut butter because I knew atleast one person at the party doesn't like peanut buter. Your welcome Wally.
I think I'm getting pretty good at molding vehicles out of modeling clay. I didn't think I'd like it because it's not cute or pretty but they turn out looking really good and are actually fun to make. Who knew?!
